Commercial firms, Jewish merchants with hop, hotels, restaurants, shops, private property and the apartments were arianized by an regulation or were confiscated by the Gestapo under the „Regulation on the nation and the state seizure of enemy property in Sudeten county on 12 May 1939. („Verordnung über die Einziehung Volks-und staatsfeindlichen Vermögens in den Sudetendeutschen Gebieten“, May 12th, 1939). The aim of these actions was the so called Jew Cleansing („Entjudung“) of all Jewish property. Racist ideology had hidden economic objectives, the desire for Jewish property.
Period of Shoah survived reportedly 80 to 100 people in Saaz, but most do not come back to Saaz.
